Buchanan County Public Library

Library News

UPDATE. Per County directive the Buchanan County Public Library will be CLOSED after 5p.m today until Monday April 6th. Library staff will be available to answer the phone and serve our patrons the best we can in this difficult time. NO curbside service. Before visiting any county offices call ahead and make sure they are open to the public.  Anything currently checked out to patrons will not incur fines until April 6th, 2020.  In addition, any Buchanan County resident over 14 who does not have a library card, may call the library at 276-935-5721 to request a 60 day, electronic access only card that will give them access to audio books, videos, ebooks, comic books, magazines and more.  The electronic access only card can be converted to a full access library card by visiting the library in person with government issued ID after thirty days. This is a free service provided to Buchanan County residents.  Those who already have a library card can access these resources by visiting http://www.bcplnet.org and using the number on the back of your card.  If you need a PIN number, please call. If you are interested in receiving books through mailbox library or have any questions please contact us.
