Donate

We take donations of items and of funds through the Friends of the Library. Bring books, magazines, DVDs and other items to the employee entrance during regular library hours. We take these items with the understanding that they be used to best benefit the library. Items may be added to the collection, sold through the Friends of the Library, or given to someone else. Collectable items such as art work or items with county historical significance must be discussed with the Library Director before donation.

Funds are always welcome. All monetary donations are made to the Friends of the Buchanan County Public Library. These funds may be Memorial Donations, In Honor of someone such as birthday donations, restricted to a program or purpose such as to the Imagination Library, Children’s programs, Teen programs, author visits, etc. All monetary donation restrictions should be clearly stated at the time of donation preferably in writing otherwise the funds go into the general funds of the Friends to be used to support the library’s mission of literacy, access to technology, and community building.
